Canova Study Day, Apsley House and the Courtauld Institute

Morning venue: Apsley House, Hyde Park Corner
Afternoon venue: Courtauld Institute of Art

Expert speakers including Giuliana Ericani, Jonathan Marsden, Christopher
Johns, Philippe Bordes and Satish Padiyar will look at the work of Antonio
Canova (1757-1822), particularly the statue of Napoleon as Mars the
Peace-Maker at Apsley House.

The afternoon session will conclude at the Hermitage Rooms, Somerset House
with a special introduction to France in Russia: Empress Josephine's
Malmaison Collection.
