Tutor, Asian Design History
History of Design V&A/RCA
£36,927 - £41,294 pa
The Royal College of Art (RCA) and Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) are
seeking to appoint a full-time Tutor in Asian Design History to work
across the two institutions.
This is a new role; as Tutor, you will teach students on the V&A/RCA MA
course in History of Design; lead the Asian Design History specialism
within the course; undertake research in Design History and contribute to
scholarship in the V&A Museum. You will be taking a leading role in
integrating the Museum’s Asian collections into course teaching and be
involved in designing and implementing curriculum within this new area of
teaching.
You must have a proven research reputation; broad interest in the
development of design history as a discipline; teaching and administrative
experience, preferably at postgraduate level, and a commitment to working
within the V&A and Royal College of Art.
