The School of Art and Art History at the University of South Florida invites
applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor with a
specialization in any field or period falling within 400-1800 CE, except the
Italian Renaissance and East Asia. A specialization in art outside Europe
and North America is preferred; interest in cross-cultural engagements is
desirable. Position to begin fall 2006.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. or close to completion, high level of commitment to research, promise
of scholarly productivity, and excellent teaching ability. Teaching
experience beyond graduate assistantships, scholarly publications, and
demonstrated interest in critical theory preferred. Responsibilities: teach
two classes per semester, supervise M.A. theses, maintain active research
agenda, and participate in program development and service. Competitive
salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
