not photographs, but films on the german Kaiserzeit are actually examined at
the department of Medienwissenschaft at the University of Trier.
The main persons are : Uli Jung (junguni-trier.de) and Prof. Martin
Loiperdinger(loiperdiuni-trier.de or: kintopuni-trier.de),
they have a project on documentary FILMS during the german Kaiserzeit
of Wilhelm II.
They can give you some more information about Schamoni and his sources
belonging to FILM, maybe also to photographs.
