5th Swiss Congress for Art History

The 5th Swiss Congress for Art History will be hosted by the University of Zurich from 22 to 24 June 2022.

Organised jointly by the Swiss Association of Art Historians (VKKS) and the Institute of Art History at the University of Zurich, the Congress welcomes art historians and researchers of art from all fields and institutions. You are invited to submit a proposed theme (1 page, maximum of 2000 characters) for a session that you would like to organise and lead. The deadline for session proposals is 26 February 2021.

The final choice of session themes will be made by a scientific advisory board consisting of members of the VKKS and the Institute of Art History, as well as representatives from museums and research institutions of the city of Zurich and the heritage conservation departments of cantons Valais and Zug.

The choice of sessions will be made by the beginning of April 2021. Successful applicants will be requested to communicate their choice of speakers to the conference organisers by 18 June 2021. The public announcement of the Call for Papers for the individual sessions will be arranged by the VKKS office. Each session should include no fewer than three and no more than five papers. We are particularly interested in supporting junior researchers.

Please submit your theme proposal (max. 2000 characters) along with a short CV (both as PDFs) by 26 February 2021, via e-mail to vkks2022khist.uzh.ch.

Conference languages are German, English, French, and Italian. The VKKS will contribute to accommodation costs. All session leaders and speakers will be exempt from the registration fee.

5. Schweizerischer Kongress für Kunstgeschichte

Vom 22. bis 24. Juni 2022 gastiert der 5. Schweizerische Kongress für Kunstgeschichte an der Universität Zürich.

Der von der Vereinigung der Kunsthistorikerinnen und Kunsthistoriker in der Schweiz VKKS sowie dem Kunsthistorischen Institut der Universität Zürich organisierte Kongress richtet sich an Kunsthistoriker-innen und Kunstwissenschaftler-innen aller Fachrichtungen und Institutionen. Sie alle sind eingeladen, einen Themenvorschlag (1 Seite, max. 2000 Zeichen) für eine Sektion, die Sie leiten und organisieren möchten, bis zum 26. Februar 2021 einzureichen.

Über die Auswahl der Sektionen entscheidet der wissenschaftliche Beirat aus Mitgliedern der VKKS, des Kunsthistorischen Instituts der Universität Zürich, der Museen und Forschungseinrichtungen der Stadt Zürich sowie der Kantonalen Denkmalpflege Wallis und Zug.
Anfang April 2021 werden Sie über die Annahme oder Ablehnung Ihres Sektionsvorschlags informiert. Bei positivem Bescheid werden Sie anschliessend gebeten, bis 18. Juni 2021 die Referent-innen der von Ihnen geleiteten Sektion zu bestimmen und uns zu nennen. Die öffentliche Ausschreibung der Call for Papers durch die einzelnen Sektionsleitungen wird von der Geschäftsstelle der VKKS organisiert. Eine Sektion sollte nicht weniger als 3 und max. 5 Vorträge umfassen. Die Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses ist besonders erwünscht.

Bitte senden Sie Ihren Sektionsvorschlag mit Exposé (max. 2000 Zeichen) sowie einen kurzen Lebenslauf (beides als PDF) bis zum 26. Februar 2021 per E-Mail an vkks2022khist.uzh.ch.

Konferenzsprachen sind Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch und Italienisch. Die VKKS leistet einen Beitrag an die Übernachtungskosten. Alle Sektionsleiter-innen und Referent-innen sind von der Einschreibegebühr für den Kongress befreit.

Appel à sessions
5e Congrès Suisse en Histoire de l'art

L'Université de Zurich accueillera le 5e Congrès suisse en histoire de l'art du 22 au 24 juin 2022.

Le congrès, organisé par l'Association suisse des historiennes et historiens de l'art (ASHHA) et l'Institut d'histoire de l'art de l'Université de Zurich, s'adresse aux historien-ne-s de l'art de toutes orientations et institutions. Nous vous invitons à proposer d'ici au 26 février 2021 un thème (1 page, max. 2000 signes) pour la section que vous souhaiteriez organiser et diriger.

Un conseil scientifique – composé de membres de l'ASHHA, de l'Institut d'histoire de l'art de l'Université de Zurich, de musées et d'institutions de recherche de la Ville de Zurich ainsi que des Services cantonaux des monuments historiques du Canton du Valais et du Canton de Zoug – se charge de sélectionner les sections.

Au début du mois d'avril 2021, nous vous informerons de l'acceptation ou du rejet de votre proposition. En cas de réponse positive, vous serez prié-e-s de désigner les conférencier-ère-s de la section que vous dirigerez et de nous communiquer leurs noms d'ici le 18 juin 2021. Pour ce faire, un appel à contributions public par les différentes directions de section sera organisé par l'ASHHA. Une section ne devrait pas compter moins de trois et plus de cinq conférences. L'encouragement de la relève est particulièrement bienvenu.

Veuillez envoyer votre proposition de section sous la forme d'un résumé (max. 2000 signes), accompagnée d'un bref curriculum vitae (tous deux au format PDF) d'ici le 26 février 2021 à l'adresse vkks2022khist.uzh.ch.

Les conférences pourront être prononcées en allemand, anglais, français et italien. Les directrices et directeurs de section tout comme les conférencières et conférenciers seront exempté-e-s des frais d'inscription au congrès. L'ASHHA contribuera par ailleurs aux frais d'hôtel.

V Congresso svizzero di Storia dell'arte

Il V congresso svizzero di storia dell'arte si svolgerà dal 22 al 24 giugno 2022 all'Università di Zurigo.

Il congresso, organizzato dall'Associazione svizzera delle storiche e degli storici dell'arte (ASSSA) e dall'Istituto di storia dell'arte dell'Università di Zurigo (KHIST UZH), è rivolto alle storiche e agli storici dell'arte e alle studiose e agli studiosi dell'arte di qualsiasi indirizzo e di qualsiasi istituzione. Chiunque fosse interessato a dirigere e a organizzare una sezione del congresso, è cordialmente invitato a inoltrare entro il 26 febbraio 2021 una proposta di argomento (1 pagina, max. 2000 caratteri).

La selezione delle sezioni sarà definita da un comitato scientifico, composto da membri dell'ASSSA, dell'Istituto di storia dell'arte dell'Università di Zurigo, dei Servizi cantonali per la conservazione dei monumenti storici dei cantoni Vallese e Zugo come da membri di musei e di istituti di ricerca della città di Zurigo.

L'accettazione o la bocciatura della vostra proposta di sezione sarà comunicata ad aprile 2021. In caso di accettazione, vi chiederemo di nominare entro il 18 giugno 2021 i relatori di sezione della quale siete responsabili e di comunicarci i loro nomi. Il bando di concorso pubblico «Call for Papers» per i singoli responsabili di sezione sarà organizzato dall'ASSSA. Una sezione può includere tra le
3 e le 5 relazioni. È particolarmente auspicata la promozione di nuove leve scientifiche.

Vi preghiamo di inviare la vostra proposta di sezione, accompagnata da un testo di presentazione (max. 2000 caratteri) e da un breve curriculum vitae (entrambi in formato PDF), entro il 26 febbraio 2021 all'indirizzo e-mail: vkks2022khist.uzh.ch.

La conferenza si terrà in tedesco, inglese, francese e italiano.
L'ASSSA contribuirà ai costi di pernottamento. Tutti i responsabili e le responsabili di sezione, i relatori e le relatrici potranno partecipare al congresso gratuitamente.
