Die Böckler-Mare-Balticum-Stiftung ist eine gemeinnützige Stiftung, gegründet durch den Architekten Dr. Erich Böckler und seine Frau Lisbeth Böckler zur Förderung der Kunst- und Kulturgeschichte der Ostseeländer und insbesondere der baltischen Staaten. Ein wichtiges Anliegen der Stiftung ist die Förderung des transnationalen, wissenschaftlichen Austauschs zwischen diesen Ländern und Deutschland sowie die Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses.

KURZZEITSTIPENDIUM:
Zu diesem Zweck vergibt die Stiftung an BewerberInnen aus dem Baltikum das „Lisbeth und Erich Böckler-Stipendium“. Das Stipendium ist an einen Aufenthalt in Deutschland gebunden und dient vor allem der Erweiterung bereits vorhandener (Grund)Kenntnisse der deutschen Sprache. Das Stipendium besteht aus zwei Modulen:

- Teilnahme an einem Intensiv-Sprachkurs (vorzugsweise am Goethe-Institut in Berlin) für ein bis max. zwei Monate
- daran anschließend, ein einmonatiger Forschungsaufenthalt mit Gelegenheit zu Bibliotheks- und Archivbesuchen sowie Reisen zu Museen und Forschungseinrichtungen.

Für das Stipendium ist, je nach Dauer und Gestaltung, ein Betrag von bis zu 8.500 Euro vorgesehen. Das Stipendium wird jährlich ausgeschrieben. Bewerbungen werden bis zum 31. März 2020 per E-Mail an die Geschäftsstelle der Stiftung erbeten.

FÖRDERUNG VON FORSCHUNGSPROJEKTEN:
Darüber hinaus vergibt die Stiftung auch Druckkostenzuschüsse sowie Zuschüsse für Forschungsreisen und die Erschließung von Sammlungsbeständen die thematisch dem Stiftungszweck entsprechen. Voraussetzung für die Förderung von kunsthistorischen Forschungsvorhaben ist deren Bezug zum geographischen Raum der Ostsee und insbesondere des Baltikums. Bewerbungen werden bis zum 01. The Böckler-Mare-Balticum-Stiftung is a non-profit foundation founded by the architect Dr. Erich Böckler and his wife Lisbeth Böckler to promote the art and cultural history of the Baltic Sea region and especially the Baltic States. An important concern of the foundation is the promotion of transnational, scientific exchange between these countries and Germany and the promotion of young scientists.

SHORT-TERM SCHOLARSHIP:
For this purpose, the foundation awards the “Lisbeth and Erich Böckler Scholarship” to applicants from the Baltic States. The scholarship is linked to a stay in Germany and primarily serves to expand existing (basic) knowledge of the German language. The scholarship consists of two modules:

- Participation in an intensive language course (preferably at the Goethe Institute in Berlin) for one to max. two months
- followed by a one-month research stay with the opportunity to visit libraries and archives, as well as to travel to museums and research institutions.

Depending on the duration and arrangement, the amount of the scholarship is up to 8,500 euros. The scholarship is advertised annually. Applications are requested by March 31, 2020 via email to the Foundation's office.

GRANTS FOR RESEARCH:
The foundation also subsidizes printing costs and awards grants for research trips and the documentation of collections which correspond to the purpose of the foundation. A prerequisite for the funding of art historical research projects is their relation to the geographical area of the Baltic Sea and especially the Baltic States. Applications should be sent by March 1st, 2020 or August 1st, 2020 to the Foundation's office by email.
