Winter School

TRANSCODIFICATION: A MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH
Department of Excellence of Human Sciences – University of L’Aquila

The Department of Human Sciences, in the context of the Excellence Project, announces the selection of 20 students interested in participating in the Winter School “Transcodification: A Multidisciplinary Approach”, which will take place in L’Aquila from 28th January to 1st February 2019.

The methodological Winter School will focus on themes of study regarding the following profiles:
- Classical studies: The intercultural transcodification of expressive structures: literary genres in the Greek and Roman World.
- Art-historical studies: Transcodification and transmediality, restoration and refunctionalization in architecture and the figurative art.
- Comparative studies: Storytelling and transmediality: dissemination of tales between literature and new media;
- Language studies: Translation and didactics of modern languages as forms of cultural transcoding.

The Winter School will be organised as follows:
- Morning conferences open to the public dedicated to the four profiles in an interdisciplinary way;
- In-depth seminars in the afternoon dedicated to the students enrolled in the Winter School.

There is no payment of any registration fee. The selected students will be guaranteed, at the expense of the Department of Excellence of Human Sciences, food, accommodation and transport to and from the School premises as well as the conferment of a scholarship of € 500.00 as reimbursement of travel expenses.

Only applications received within and no later than 5:00 pm (Italian time) on December 4th 2018 will be admitted

Il Dipartimento di Scienze Umane, nell’ambito del Progetto del Dipartimento di Eccellenza indice un bando per selezionare n. 20 studenti interessati a partecipare alla Winter School “Transcodification: A Multidisciplinary Approach” che avrà luogo all’Aquila nella settimana dal 28 gennaio al 1° febbraio 2019.

La Winter School metodologica verterà su tematiche di studio riguardanti i seguenti profili:
- Indirizzo di studi classici: La transcodificazione interculturale delle strutture espressive: i
generi letterari dalla Grecia al mondo romano.
- Indirizzo storico-artistico: Transcodificazione e transmedialità, restauro e
rifunzionalizzazione in architettura e nelle arti figurative.
- Indirizzo comparatistico: Storytelling e transmedialità: disseminazioni del racconto tra
letteratura e new media;
- Indirizzo linguistico: Traduzione e didattica delle lingue moderne come forme di
transcodificazione culturale.

La Winter School sarà organizzata in:
- Conferenze mattutine aperte a tutti e dedicate in modo interdisciplinare ai quattro indirizzi;
- Lezioni seminariali di approfondimento, nelle sessioni pomeridiane dedicate agli studenti iscritti alla Winter School.

Non è previsto il pagamento di alcuna quota di iscrizione. Agli studenti selezionati verrà garantito, a spese del Dipartimento di Eccellenza di Scienze Umane, vitto, alloggio e trasporto da e verso la sede della School oltre al conferimento di una borsa di studio di importo pari a € 500,00 quale rimborso delle spese di viaggio.

Saranno ammesse le sole domande pervenute entro e non oltre le ore 17:00 del 4 dicembre 2018.
