Editors/Writers Humanities News - Art History

Deadline/Anmeldeschluss: 31.08.2017

Julia Burbulla
The Humanities News Network seek applications for editors and writers to contribute regular features for the academic year 2017/2018 (renewable). “Humanities News” will publish news and headlines in the following research areas: Archaeology & History, Art History & Cultural Studies, Philosophy & Theology, Literature & Linguistics, Anthropology & Social Sciences and New Humanities (Digital or Interdisciplinary Humanities). The news/headlines are not restricted to any particular epoch, society, medium or region. They can include notes to (new) projects, scientific trends, special events (exhibitions, seminars, conferences etc.), new articles, books, films, web sources etc. or special artefacts. Comments to the impact and future of the humanities are also welcome.

The teams (1 Editor and 2 Writers per area) will select and create a new micro-blog/tweet once a week (40-250 characters). There is also the possibility to support the further development of "Humanities News" for the own research area in 2018. All new content will include author by line with hyperlink to a personal or institution website and each member will have a short bio posted on the "Humanities News" page. The position of Editor/Writer does not carry additional compensation. This call is directed to advanced researchers (Editor: PhD or more; Writer: Master or more) with interdisciplinary experience, interest in scientific communication and engagement for the future of the humanities. To apply, please send a CV (max. two pages), a short letter of interest and a blog-example (50 characters) to the Humanities News Editor Julia Burbulla (humanitiesnewsgmail.com) by August 31, 2017.
