Collections have always been the subject of scholarly interest and interpretation. The study of artifacts stored in different museums and galleries across the world contributed to the advancement of methodologies and creation of new disciplines. From art history, ethnology, anthropology, natural and technological history to museum studies and practices, collections have always been the core around which all these disciplined developed.
