Energieeffizienz ist ein bedeutendes Thema für den Erhalt kulturhistorischer Gebäude und Stadtkerne geworden. Investitionen in die energieeffiziente Sanierung von historischen Kulturstätten schaffen ökonomischen und sozialen Mehrwert und erhöhen die Lebensqualität für Bewohner. Diese positiven Effekte werden jedoch kaum ermittelt, quantifiziert und ökonomisch genutzt, obgleich sie überall dort, wo in energetische Sanierung investiert wird, sichtbar werden: in Firmengründungen, zusätzlichen Arbeitsplätzen, neuen Wohnformen, attraktiverer Infrastruktur, im wachsenden Kulturtourismus.

Das interdisziplinäre Expertenseminar will solche sozialen und ökonomischen Effekte sichtbar machen und an europäischen Praxisbeispielen Modelle und Erfahrungen aufzeigen. Es soll auch Aufschluss darüber geben, welche Formen von Unterstützung notwendig sind, um solche Effekte in der Stadt- und Regionalentwicklung bestmöglich zu unterstützen.

Das Seminar richtet sich an Vertreter/innen aus dem Kulturerbe-Erhalt (Kunstgeschichte, Restaurierung, Denkmalpflege, Architektur), dem Energiebereich, der Projektentwicklung von Kulturerbestätten, öffentliche und private Träger, Kommunen, Stadt- und Regionalplanung, Tourismus, Kulturwirtschaft und Wirtschaftsförderung. Dem interdisziplinären Zusammenwirken gilt besondere Aufmerksamkeit.

Veranstalter: Kultur und Arbeit e.V. in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Ministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft, Jugend und Kultur des Landes Rheinland-Pfalz und der Generaldirektion Kulturelles Erbe.

Energy efficiency has become a relevant topic as regards the preservation and development of historic buildings and town centres. Investing in energy-efficient restoration of cultural heritage sites creates economic and social value and increases the quality of life for inhabitants and visitors. However, these effects are not yet sufficiently explored, quantified and economically exploited, although they become obvious wherever in energy-efficient restoration is invested: in start-ups, additional jobs, new living arrangements, more attractive infrastructure, increasing culture tourism.

The interdisciplinary expert seminar wants to make visible such social and economic effects. European best practices will show existing experiences in order to create support mechanisms for urban and regional development.

The seminar addresses to representants of cultural heritage protection (art historians, restoration, monument preservation and architecture), the energy sector, the project development of cultural heritage sites, to private and public bodies, municipalities, city and regional planning, tourism, the cultural industry and economic promotion.

Participation in the conference is free and there will be simultaneous interpreting from German into English.
