The Faculty of Architecture of the University of Liège is recruiting as of 1 October 2026 1 full-time doctoral assistant.

Two-year appointment, renewable twice. Subject to approval by the ULiège Board of Directors.

Description of duties
- Pedagogical supervision of bachelor’s students, in Blocks 1 and 3, and master’s students, in Years 1 and 2, in courses related to architectural theory, architectural history, and visual culture from the 19th to the 21st century ; introduction to research.
- Contribution to and participation in administrative tasks related to teaching.
- Development of a doctoral research project examining the relationships between architecture, the arts, and visual culture from a contemporary perspective.

Admission requirements
- Hold a master’s degree in architecture, art history, or a degree deemed equivalent.
- Have distinguished oneself during one’s studies.
- A strong interest in issues relating to architectural theory and history, visual culture, and contemporary art, with a focus on the 20th and 21st centuries.
- Ability to articulate a critical and reflective approach in both teaching and research.
- Strong motivation for teaching and research.
- Proficiency in French and English is required.
