EVA Conference Berlin 2025: Electronic Media and Visual Arts. Artificial Intelligence, Digitality and Culture.

The 28th conference EVA-BERLIN ties in with the ongoing disruptive changes in culture and digitality. After the successful relaunch of last year, we are happy to announce the next event of the forum for Electronic Media and Visual Arts.
The raise of Artificial Intelligence, digital projects in field of culture, web-based research and communication co-operations as well as information technology and multimedia services for libraries, archives and museum institutions and performative arts will be discussed in an application-oriented and interdisciplinary context. Current projects can be accepted for a lecture or to be shown in the poster session. As part of the international EVA conference network with venues in London, Florence and Paris, the Berlin event is a platform for broader international exchange as well as European cooperations.

and the Cast Collection – Abguss-Sammlung Antiker Plastik Berlin-Charlottenburg are looking forward to your contributions, project presentations and cooperation proposals on the following

Topics
- Artificial Intelligence in Art and cultural field
- Imaging: digital image acquisition methods in 2D and 3D
- Visualisation: from dataset to user interface
- Modelling: 3D models and replicas
- Narratives: curatorial activities and AI
- Performing Arts: digital installations, immersive videos and digital concert halls
- Event Formats: Collections between selfies and Insta-Walks
- Strategies: Digital Asset Management, documentation and metadata standards
- Verification: Smart Contracts, Blockchain, Certificates
- Licensing: Open Access, NFT and creative industries
- Inclusion: multi-modal access and multimedia transformations
- Cybercrime: phishing, bots, and fakes in digital culture
- Initiatives, network projects and collaborations for culture: Europeana, DDB, subject and network portals

Lectures: Proposals for papers can be submitted on selected topics. The lecture time is 20 minutes.

Workshops: Workshops can be submitted on specific topics. The workshop’s duration (2 to 4 hours) is to be arranged individually.

Exhibition: Presentations, projects, posters and new products for the accompanying exhibition on can be submitted (date to be determined).

Proceedings: Accepted speakers and exhibitors will be asked for a contribution for the conference proceedings. The proceedings will be published online at Artbooks (part of arthistoricum.net) with the option of print-on-demand, including the allocation of a persistent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for each individual contribution.
