The 2024 Summer Academy course programme is online.
Every year, the Summer Academy offers high-profile courses in the fields of curating and writing. Amongst others, we invite to classes with: philosopher Fahim Amir, curators Phila Bergmann/ Thea Reifler and writer and researcher Gürsoy Doğtaş. As the borders between Theory and Practice are often blurred, we invite to classes in artistic and architectural research with Neha Choksi, Ofri Cnaani, Philipp Gufler, Ari Benjamin Meyers, Karla M. Rothstein, Curtis Talwst Santiago, Neta Weiner/Stav Marin/Samira Saraya amongst others.

COURSE FEES
Two-weeks course 670 Euro (495 Euro), three-weeks course 890 Euro (635 Euro). Does not include artistic materials, if needed. Reduced fees are eligible for students, welfare recipients or others, and members of the Verein der Freunde.
APPLICATION
Anyone interested (PhD students, research assistants, curators, art critics, freelancers, etc.) can apply as no degrees are required and will submit to a selection process in which the instructors decide on who will be accepted. All applications received till 26 May 2024 will be treated equally in the selection process; after 27 May 2024, they are considered according to the number of available places.

SCHOLARSHIPS
The Summer Academy offers numerous scholarships, most of them covering the participation fee, while some include also travel and accommodation expenses. A jury, together with the instructors, will award the scholarships. The application deadline is 28 April 2024.
IN SOLIDARITY
Together with the Province of Salzburg and the Federal Ministry of the Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sport, the Academy awards Scholarships (course fees, travel and accommodation costs, daily allowance) for interested persons who are currently refugees in Europe or are seeking asylum.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Together with zt: Kammer der ZiviltechnikerInnen, ArchitektInnen und IngenieurInnen and the Initiative Architektur, the Academy awards Scholarships for participation in the Architecture class. Students enrolled at the Universities of Technology in Graz, Innsbruck and Vienna can apply for ECTS credits.
