The Department of Art History at The Pennsylvania State University seeks to appoint an Assistant Teaching Professor of East Asian Art for a 1-year term. The appointment will begin on August 1, 2024. Teaching duties will include courses on the visual culture of East Asia. The department values dynamic teachers who are prepared to lead survey-level and upper-level undergraduate courses. Candidates who can teach courses in Museum Studies and/or Digital Art History are especially encouraged to apply. The anticipated course load is 3-3. Preference will be given to candidates who have a PhD in history of art or architecture or a related discipline. Candidates who are ABD will be considered; PhD must be completed by start date.
