I TEIDE International Conference. Times of Emergency. Imaginaries, Diagnoses and Ecologies

The TEIDE Conference aims to provide a space for those works that propose a critical approach to the relationship between temporality and emergency, whether by analysing their imaginaries, establishing diagnoses that help to give context to the problem or articulating proposals that respond to ecological logics. The transversality of the subject invites the adoption of hybrid methodologies and perspectives which enable a complex approach to discourses, practices and creative contexts.

Contributions are expected to focus on theoretical, methodological and epistemological rethinking and, in particular, on specific studies of practices or themes that can be framed within one or more of the four proposed roundtables:

1. Non-linear times and alternatives to the temporality of progress.

3. Queer temporalities and politicisations of time.

4. Climate emergency and critical revisions of nature.

Those interested in participating are invited to send, before 1st July 2023 (included), a communication proposal to this email address contactotiempha.es for its following evaluation.

Proposal format (two separate documents):

Communication proposal:

- Between 3 and 5 keywords.

Notification of the communication acceptance will be published on 15th July 2023.

Each paper will have 15 minutes, plus a question-and-answer session.

I Congreso Internacional TEIDE. Temporalidades de Emergencia. Imaginarios, Diagnósticos y Ecologías

El Congreso TEIDE pretende dar cabida a aquellos trabajos que propongan un abordaje crítico a la relación entre temporalidad y emergencia, ya sea analizando sus imaginarios, estableciendo diagnósticos que ayuden a situar el problema, o articulando propuestas que respondan a lógicas ecológicas. La transversalidad del tema invita a adoptar metodologías y perspectivas híbridas que permitan un abordaje complejo de discursos, prácticas y contextos creativos.

Se esperan contribuciones centradas en replanteos teóricos, metodológicos y epistemológicos y, muy especialmente, en estudios específicos sobre prácticas o temáticas que se puedan enmarcar en alguna o varias de las cuatro mesas propuestas:

1. Tiempos no lineales y alternativas a la temporalidad del progreso. Keynote speaker: Miguel Ángel Hernández
