«Ita scriptum inveni. Onofrio Panvinio, an Eclectic in Sixteenth-Century Rome».
International Colloquium.

Each paper is to be focused on the figure of Onofrio Panvinio (1530-68) with reference either to his edited or unedited works, or to other aspects regarding his life. The aim of the Colloquium is to gather recent studies concerning the subject of the conference in order to enable a lively debate amongst researches from different disciplines and to emphasize not only the international scope of Panvinio’s importance, but also the various interdisciplinary approaches the Augustinian erudite from Verona himself was practicing during his lifetime.

DISCIPLINES
Archeology, epigraphy, iconography, history, topography, architecture, history of art, Christian literature, liturgy, hagiography, museology and other disciplines without geographic limitations.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
The candidate is asked to submit an abstract (300 words ca.) in English, including the respective information regarding affiliation with relevant keywords to colloquio.panviniogmail.com by 20 June 2023. It will be possible to deliver the talk, once accepted, in the following languages: English, Italian, French, German and Spanish.
The selected candidates will be notified by 31 July 2023.
