The PhD students of the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archaeology are pleased to announce the call for papers of the 3rd Research meeting on Christian Archaeology, Late Antiquity, and the Early Middle Ages.

We invite proposals with a multidisciplinary perspective from experts in Archaeology, Epigraphy, Iconography, History, Topography, Architecture, Archaeometry, Art History, Christian Literature, Liturgy, Hagiography, Museology, and any other related disciplines, without geographical or subject limitations. Each topic must necessarily refer to a chronological period between the 3rd-10th centuries and be an excerpt from one's doctoral research, in progress or completed less than three years from the date of publication of this call.

The structure of the meeting includes:
1. Oral presentations. The oral presentation should be timed to last no more than 20 minutes, equivalent to the reading of a text of about 5 pages of approx. 2,000 characters.
2. Posters, to which a specific session will be devoted.

Applicants are kindly requested to send the filled application form, together with an abstract (max 300 words) for both oral communications and posters and to submit it to the email address dottorandi.piacgmail.com by September 10, 2023.

Proposals will be evaluated, and the applicants will receive an answer by mid-October 2023.

The application form can be downloaded from our website: http://dottorandipiac.wixsite.com/dottorandipiac

Guidelines for publication of the talk in the conference proceedings will be communicated in a separate mailing. Research papers presented in the poster session will also be included in the publication.
