Die Professur ist am Institut für Kunstgeschichte angesiedelt.

Gesucht wird eine Persönlichkeit, die in der Lehre die Architekturgeschichte in der ganzen Breite abdeckt und ausgewiesen ist durch innovative Forschung in zwei einschlägigen Schwerpunkten der Architekturgeschichte. Erwartet wird – in der Weltkulturerbestadt Bern – ein nachgewiesenes Interesse an und Engagement im Bereich der Denkmalpflege.
Vorausgesetzt wird eine Promotion sowie entweder eine Habilitation/habilitationsäquivalente Leistungen (für eine ausserordentliche Professur) oder ein fortgeschrittenes zweites Forschungsprojekt (für eine Assistenzprofessur mit tenure track).

Die/der Stelleninhaber:in leitet den Monomaster-Studiengang Denkmalpflege. Es wird erwartet, dass die/der Stelleninhaber:in innert 2 Jahren über ausreichende Deutschkenntnisse verfügt.

Professorship in History of Architecture and Monument Preservation Associated Professorship or tenure track Assistant Professorship, 100%

The Professorship is located at the Institute for Art History
We are seeking a scholar with expertise in teaching across the history of architecture and with a research specialization in two fields of architectural history, broadly conceived. Given Bern's status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a strong interest in and engagement with architectural preservation are expected.
Prerequisites include a PhD and either a habilitation/track record equivalent to habilitation (for an associate professorship) or an advanced second research project (for a tenure-track assistant professorship).

The future professor of the History of Architecture and Monument Preservation will also coordinate the Institute of Art History's MA program in Monument Management. Applicants are expected to acquire a good working knowledge of German within two years.
