Among the initiatives for the centenary of the birth of Carlo Ludovico
Ragghianti, The Fondazione Centro Studi sull'Arte Licia e Carlo Ludovico
Ragghianti (Lucca), together with the University of Pisa - Department of
Art History and the Scuola Normale Superiore - Pisa, organizes the
congress "Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti: pensiero e azione / Carlo Ludovico
Ragghianti, thought and action", which will be held in Lucca and Pisa on
21st and 22nd may 2010. The figure of the renowned intellectual will be
studied by several points of view, shading light on his political and
cultural activity, and his originality as a art historian. Beside the
main program, two poster-sessions will be organized, as a space
especially dedicated to the contributions of young scholars. Proposals
(abstracts of 2000 characters max.) and a short CV should be sent to the
Fondazione before the 15th march 2010; the formula "abstract convegno
Ragghianti" should be indicated on the envelope or in the email object.
The authors of the selected proposals will be contacted by the mid of april.
