Lecture series at the Institut für Stadtbaukunst
Fakultät Architektur und Bauingenieurwesen
Technische Universität Dortmund

The Institute for Civic Art was founded in 2008 at the Dortmund
University of Technology. The aim of the lecture series is to reconnect all
the different disciplines which deal with the city and to focus on the
result of the well built, long-lasting and beautiful city. One part of
this task is to build a complex theory of civic art, another part is to
raise the public awareness for the necessity to improve our cities by a
well understood civic art.
