American Position at UC Riverside

The Department of the History of Art at the University of California,
Riverside announces a position at Open Rank (Assistant, Associate or Full
Professor) in North American Art and Architecture.

We seek a scholar whose work examines North American art and architecture in
its diverse contexts, engages with emerging methods and topics in the field,
and is interdisciplinary and comparative. Duties include participation in
developing a proposal for a Ph.D. program, teaching courses ranging from
lower division surveys to graduate seminars, advising, and service. Related
UCR departments and programs in the field include Media and Cultural Studies,
History, English, Sociology, Women's Studies, and Ethnic Studies.

Ph.D. required. Teaching experience, a strong commitment to teaching
excellence and a strong record of research and publication are required.
