Research Associate, Contemporary Programs, Getty Research Institute

The Contemporary Programs and Research Department of the Getty Research
Institute has an immediate opening for a Research Associate. This
creative position offers the opportunity to conceive and organize a wide
range of public programs including conferences, workshops, performances,
and other initiatives that creatively engage the local and international
art community. May also work on projects related to exhibitions,
publications, the Research Institute's major collections, and
collaborative endeavors with other organizations. Expertise in one or
more fields of modern and/or contemporary art history required;
specialist in post-war European, Latin American, or Asian art preferred.
Candidates must also be able to work effectively in fields outside their
specialization. Masters degree required, PhD degree preferred. Strong
foreign language skills and 3-5 years academic or curatorial experience.
