Assistant Lecturer/Lecturer
(New Zealand Art; Fixed-term, Part-time)
Art History and Theory Programme, University of Otago
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will teach ARTH 217: New Zealand Art from the
1890s to the 1970s. Duties will include course planning and
co-ordination, lecturing, tutoring, marking and student advising under
the overall direction of the Head of Department. The successful
applicant will also act as a supervisor and internal examiner for
fourth-year research papers. Previous experience in university teaching
is desirable.
Salary
The salary range for an Assistant Lecturer is $41,858 to $47,610 per
annum (pro rata), and for a Lecturer $56,409 to 68,036 per annum (pro
rata). Appointment will be made at an appropriate step in these ranges
depending on qualifications and experience. Candidates seeking
appointment at the Lecturer level should hold a PhD in the field concerned.
