digital image databases

Natasha Goldman

Dear H-ArtHist,

Currently my department is researching database structures for digital images.
I hope that I may ask H-Art members for their feedback on databases
currently in use.

If you are interested in responding, please include the database
being used/under consideration, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of
those software
programs. So far I have information on Portfolio 7, MDID (Madison Digital Image
Database), and
Re:Discovery.

Any input would be greatly appreciated, and, I hope, useful to all of our list
members.

Sincerely,
Natasha Goldman
