Keynote speaker: Anne Wagner (University of California), Splitting and
Doubling: Architecture and the Body of Sculpture

Alex Potts (University of Michigan), Post-War Consumerism and Sculpture in
the Public Arena

Sue Malvern (University of Reading), Siegfried Charoux, Rachel Whiteread and
Judenplatz, Vienna

Mark Godfrey (Slade), The Sculpture Commissions for the Holocaust Museum in
Washington

The Present; the Future: Panel discussion convened by Margaret Garlake
With John Aiken (Slade), Pierre d’Avoine (Independent), Claire Barclay
(Independent), De Rijke Marsh Morgan, Jes Fernie (RSA), Paul Finch (CABE)
and Sir Colin St John Wilson (Independent) – preceded by short papers by
each of the speakers.

A closing reception will be held in the Courtauld Institute of Art
Galleries.

The conference is accompanied by a lunchtime exhibition of drawings from the
Courtauld Institute Gallery, selected by Alexandra Gerstein (Courtauld
Institute of Art) and an exhibition of photographs of architectural
sculpture in London selected by Philip Ward-Jackson (Conway Library,
Courtauld Institute of Art).

REGISTRATION: Full fee: £30 both days, £15 one day.
Concessions (students, PMSA members): £15 two days, £10 one day.
Lunch is at the Courtauld Refectory, at £5 per day.
