Lectures of the Lowcountries Sculpture Society (Brussels/Antwerp)

INAUGURAL LECTURE OF THE LOW COUNTRIES SCULPTURE SOCIETY

Guilhem Scherf, conservateur en chef at the Département des Sculptures of
the Musée du Louvre, Paris, will deliver our Inaugural Lecture in Brussels
on "Le voyage à Paris vers 1781 du sculpteur anversois Joseph Camberlain"
(in French). Palace of the Royal Academies, 1, rue Ducale (next to the Royal
Palace) on Saturday 30 November. Reception and visit of the Palace and its
historic collection of portrait busts at 2.30 pm. Lecture at 3.30 pm.

Membership from 15 euros p.a. allowing free access to all our lectures.

A week before, on Friday 22 November, the curator of the Royal Palace in
Amsterdam and member of our Executive Committee, Eymert-Jan Goossens, will
deliver a lecture in Antwerp at the Rubenianum, Kolveniersstraat 20, on
"Artus Quellin en het Koninklijk Paleis te Amsterdam" (in Dutch). Reception
at 6 pm. Lecture at 6.45 pm. Tickets free for members, 7.50 euros for
non-members at the door. Membership from 15 euros p.a. allowing free access
