The Department of Art History at The University of Haifa invites applications with a Ph.D. degree for a tenure-track academic position in the history of modern art. Rank will be dependent on the academic achievements of the applicant, and will be subject to University regulations.

The department of Art History is particularly interested in applicants whose scholarship focuses on the 19th and early 20th century. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses related to topics of his/her expertise, as well as introductory courses and workshops. The courses will be at undergraduate and graduate level.

Applications should include the following items:

• Letter of application

• Curriculum Vitae and list of publications

• A description of three courses the candidate can teach in the field of Modern Art, with indication of whether the course would be taught at an introductory or advanced level

• Language of instruction: Hebrew and English

• Electronic copies of three recent published articles

• Three letters of recommendation to be sent directly to the Department of Art History
