The international network Redefining European Symbolism, 1880-1900 will be staging a conference on The Nabis on 27th and 28th October 2011 in Amsterdam. The conference is organised in collaboration with network partner the Van Gogh Museum, and coincides with its exhibition Snapshot: Painters and Photography, 1888-1915.
The conference begins on the evening of Thursday 27th with a plenary lecture by Dr. Elizabeth Easton, curator of the Snapshot exhibition. Seven papers covering a fascinating variety of Nabis themes will be given on Friday 28th, culminating in an opportunity to see Snapshot.
