CONCEPTUAL PROPOSAL: “Weavers and subversives” (Tejedoras y subversivas)

“Weavers and subversives” tries to be an issue of study and visibility for practices related to Live Art and Craftivism that have happened lately, in a new globalized network that extends weaving new wefts and warps. The own action of knitting, embroiding or sewing prevails above the woven object which in turn is also a link to new relationships and experiences from which we can understand, inhabit and transform the world.
In this call for papers we will select those works that explore, research and analyze artistic proposals linked to Live Art and Craftivism. There is a special interest in artworks located in the LatinAmerican realm for being a kind of works that currently are in need of some analysis and researches with an extended theoretical corpus.

MATERIALS:
- Research articles (see authors manual)
- Artworks/creation proposals or materials about specific projects.
- Artworks and festivals reviews
- Interviews carried out in the last 6 months.
- Photo-actions: (TIFF, JPG, 300ppp resolution)
