This is an open call for papers for the fourth Art History Supplement (AHS).

The proposed theme, but not limited to, is “Paragone in Art History”.
Submission deadline 15 September 2011 - deadline could be extended up to 20 September after notice.

Paragone of poetry and painting, painting and sculpture, poetry, painting and architecture, design and colour, artists, historians and critics and public, in pairs or by themselves. Paragone the magazine could also be another topic of discussion.

AHS publishes material, dealing with all time periods and/or methodologies, media (incl. cinema, photography, music), techniques, debates within the field of art history.

Contributions to AHS from any other science or discipline (humanitarian or not) corresponding to visual culture or representations of it are more than welcome.
