Rome Art History Network (RAHN), Call for Board Member

The Rome Art History Network (RAHN) is now seeking art and architectural historians, at PhD or post-doc level, interested in being part of our board.

New members will collaborate in the implementation of the RiCar database (Ricerche a Roma): https://www.romearthistorynetwork.com/drir and the organization of bi-monthly study meetings: https://www.romearthistorynetwork.com/incontri-studi

WHAT IS RAHN?
It is an international and independent network of art and architectural historians based in Rome. Its objective is to encourage and develop in a convivial way the meeting and exchange of ideas between researchers of the foreign academies and institutes present in the Urbs and Italian colleagues. Its activities are promoted in a totally voluntary way by an international community of art and architectural historians present in Rome. RAHN believes in the importance of dialogue, collaboration and constructive confrontation of ideas in a perspective of inter-cultural and trans-generational openness, with particular regard to the new scientific leverage. It organizes seminars, conferences, meetings and workshops. Participation in the network and its events is free and open to all interested scholars.

WHAT IS RiCaR?
Research in Rome is the new database dedicated to the historical-artistic research that takes place in Rome addressed to PhD students, PhDs and scholarship holders in a University or in an institution that is based in Rome.

PROFILE
The ideal candidate will be an art and/or architectural historian at PhD or post-doc level, based in Rome, with strong communicative and relational skills. Languages requested: Italian and English.

ADVANTAGES
The new member of the board will be listed on the RAHN’s website and will be encouraged to name the board membership of RAHN as one of their professional activities. She/he will be part of an enthusiastic group of researchers active in several cultural areas in Rome. She/he will have the possibility to organize international study days and conferences. COS’E’ IL RAHN?
è una rete internazionale e indipendente di storici dell’arte e dell'architettura con sede a Roma. Ha come obiettivo incoraggiare e sviluppare in modo conviviale l’incontro e lo scambio d’idee tra i ricercatori delle accademie e istituti stranieri presenti nell’Urbe e i colleghi italiani. Le sue attività sono promosse in modo totalmente volontario e gratuito da una comunità internazionale di storici dell’arte e dell’architettura presenti a Roma. Il RAHN crede nell’importanza del dialogo, della collaborazione e del confronto costruttivo delle idee in una prospettiva di apertura inter-culturale e trans-generazionale, con particolare riguardo alla nuova leva scientifica. Il RAHN organizza seminari, conferenze, incontri e workshops. La partecipazione al network e ai suoi eventi è gratuita ed aperta a tutti gli studiosi interessati.

COS’E’ IL RiCaR?
Ricerche a Roma è il nuovo database dedicato alle ricerche storico-artistiche che si svolgono a Roma rivolto ai dottorandi, dottori di ricerca e borsisti in un'Università o in un'Istituzione che ha sede a Roma.

PROFILO RICHIESTO
Il candidato ideale è uno/a studioso/a di storia dell’arte e/o architettura iscritto/a a un dottorato di ricerca o post-doc, con base a Roma, con spiccate doti comunicative e relazionali. Requisiti linguistici: italiano e inglese.

VANTAGGI
Il profilo del nuovo membro del board verrà incluso nel sito del RAHN e incoraggiato a menzionare la sua responsabilità nel board come una delle sua attività professionali. Lei/lui entrerà a fare parte di un eccellente gruppo di ricercatori attivi in varie aree culturali a Roma. Lei/lui avrà la possibilità di organizzare giornate di studi o conferenze internazionali.
