Professorial Research Fellows

In the Department of Art History, Curating and Visual Studies, which is based in the Barber Institute of Fine Art, we are open to applicants with any specialisation, whether aligned or supplementary to our current strengths and focus: https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/schools/lcahm/departments/historyofart/index.aspx
We are particularly interested in complimenting our strengths with scholarship on photography, architecture, and curatorial studies, with a global focus.

We are looking for talented and established academics with an international research reputation, you will have a strong background of winning grant applications and awards as well an excellent publication history. You will also have the leadership characteristics and a track record of leading research environments.

Uniquely, as an integral aspect of the appointment process, aspiring Professorial Fellows are invited to specify the fields and intellectual focus of their Chair. Through these high profile appointments we seek to enhance our University’s existing academic strengths and contribute to our culture of research excellence and industrial Partnerships that currently exists.
