The Academy announces the establishment of the Weinberg Fellowships in architectural history and preservation. Funded with generous support from the Sidney J. Weinberg Jr., Foundation in conjunction with the Academy’s new International Observatory for Cultural Heritage, these Fellowships are devoted to the understanding and conservation of architecture in any geographic area and period.
Two to four Fellowships will be awarded each year, and will run concurrently with the Academy’s other residential fellowships. Fellows receive a stipend, health benefits, travel allowance, and an office in the Academy.
Candidates must be at the post-doctoral or faculty level. Applications are encouraged from all countries;

Residencies begin Sept. 2017
Fellows spend four months: either the Fall term (September-December) or the Spring term (January-April). Some scholars are invited to spend the full academic year (September to April).
