«From Indigenism to Intercultural: Assessment of the identity debate in Latino American Art Criticism»
This international conference is presented as an opportunity to establish a retrospect and assessment on the scope of the different contributions that criticism and art theory in Latin America have offered about the issue of identity in the larger cultural stages of the twentieth century. Departing this approach, the conference is organized into three sections: 1. In the Margins: indigenism and folk art. 2. Modern views of identity and 3. Identity and identities in the postmodern era.
