The University of Zurich invites applications for a Professorship in Modern and Contemporary Art

The successful applicant is expected to raise the profile of teaching and research in the field, both in terms of theory and methodology, and to systematically expand the subject. The aim is to provide innovative impulses and to promote cooperation with other professors at the Art History Institute, as well as with colleagues from related subjects and from national and international organisations. In this respect, the successful candidate will be highly qualified and will be able to represent the subject in all its scope and at international level. Substantial publications beyond the doctoral thesis are a prerequisite for the position.

The Faculty of Arts strives to increase the percentage of women in the fields of research and teaching; thus, applications from women are strongly encouraged.
