We are pleased to announce the Digital Humanities Workshop Context | Fluid Layouts and the Creative Industry, which will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at the Catholic University of Milan, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room SF.109 (San Francesco Campus) and from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room SA.323 (Sant'Agnese Campus).

The event investigates word and image narratives in the Renaissance as a model for reflecting on creativity in the current time.

The workshop will focus on the presentation and collaborative production of artist’s books, both print and digital, as a means of reinterpreting the strategies of early modern intermedia workshops within the contemporary creative industry.

The event is divided into two sessions:
- The morning session (9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room SF.109 (San Francesco Campus)) will introduce the topic through the analysis of digital and material tools, featuring presentations by professionals and experts in the field.
- In the afternoon session (1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room SA.323 (Sant'Agnese Campus)), students will have the opportunity to develop their skills through a guided hands-on workshop.

The event is mainly intended for graduate students and researchers at any stage of their career. Participation in the event is free, and no prior knowledge of the subject is required.

Con piacere segnalo il workshop in Digital Humanities Event} Context : Fluid layouts and the creative industry , che si terrà venerdì 15 maggio 2026 presso l’Università Cattolica di Milano, dalle ore 09:30 alle ore 12:30 presso l’aula SF.109 (Sede di San Francesco) e dalle ore 13:30 alle 15:30 presso l’aula SA.323 (Sede di Sant'Agnese).

L'evento analizza le narrazioni verbali e visive del Rinascimento come modello per riflettere sulla creatività nell'epoca contemporanea.

Il workshop sarà dedicato alla presentazione e alla produzione collaborativa di libri d'artista, sia cartacei che digitali, come mezzo per riproporre le strategie intermediali della bottega della prima età moderna nell'industria creativa contemporanea.

L’evento si divide in due sessioni:
- Nella sessione mattutina (dalle ore 09:30 alle ore 12:30 presso l’aula SF.109 (Sede di San Francesco)) verrà introdotto il tema attraverso l’analisi di strumenti materiali e digitali, grazie all’intervento di professionisti ed esperti del settore.
- ⁠Nella sessione pomeridiana (dalle ore 13:30 alle 15:30 presso l’aula SA.323 (Sede di Sant'Agnese)) gli studenti potranno sviluppare le proprie competenze grazie a un laboratorio pratico guidato.

L'evento è rivolto principalmente a studenti laureati e ricercatori in qualsiasi fase della loro carriera.

La partecipazione all’evento è gratuita e non è richiesta nessuna conoscenza pregressa sulla materia.
