The Klassik Stiftung Weimar awards Bauhaus Fellowships to promote innovative projects in the areas of art, media, design, literature, curatorial practice and cultural education.
Named after the world-famous school of art and design in Weimar, the Bauhaus Fellowships by the Klassik Stiftung Weimar support creative projects of outstanding merit. Each year several fellowships lasting two to four months are awarded to creative artists, students and graduates from around the world.
Our focus is on thematic flexibility and topics that raise public awareness. We want to give free reign to diversity and creativity. We are interested in projects which are directly or indirectly related to Weimar and contemporary issues. Fellowship recipients should present their projects publicly, for example, in the form of an exhibition, work presentation, event or intervention, and reach a broad audience via the media channels operated by the Klassik Stiftung Weimar.
The fellowship consists of a scholarship of 1,500 euros/month and free accommodation at the “Villa Silberblick”, the former Nietzsche-Archiv. Please indicate your preference for the fellowship period and an alternative period.
• letter of motivation
• abstract of your project (10–15 lines)
