We are looking for a doctoral student to join the SNF-funded project 'Challenging or Reproducing the Status Quo? The Leftist Architect in Milanese Architecture, 196X-198X'. The project will explore the relations between architecture and politics in Milan by analysing the professional networks, built projects, and theoretical texts of a select group of architects operating there.
Requirements for the job include:
- a Master’s degree in architecture, architectural history, art history or one of the social sciences
- an excellent command of Italian and English
- some experience in archival research and in conducting interviews
- some experience in publishing, possibly in academic journals
Candidates are expected to move to Switzerland and to spend extended periods of time in Italy for research.
