CALL FOR PAPERS
The Northwest Affiliate of the World History Association will hold its
7th Annual Conference on Friday and Saturday, October 8-9, in Eugene,
Oregon and is inviting scholars to submit proposals to present their
research.
This year the NWWHA meets in conjunction with The Oregon Council for
Social Studies and we expect upwards of 200 registrants for the event.
Alfred Andrea, President of the WHA, will be the keynote speaker. The
conference theme is "Teaching World History Through Art". The term
"Art" includes popular culture, electronic media, performing and
visual arts. However, paper proposals on any aspect of teaching,
researching, or conceptualizing World History will be welcome - either
complete panel proposals or individual papers. Panel sessions will
normally be one and a half hours.
Deadline for proposals: June 30, 2010. Please send proposals as an
email with the subject line "NWWHA 2010 Proposal" to Shawna Herzog at
Washington State University, Pullman (sherzog2wsu.edu ). Proposals
should be included as an attachment, and the titles of the attached
proposals should include the last name of the panel organizer or of the
individual presenter (i.e. jonesProposal.doc).
