Assistant in the Section for East Asian Art History

Institute:
Institute of Art History, University of Zurich

Area of work:
Work in teaching, research, service, and administration. Collaboration in
running of the Institute's introductory courses. Organization of excursions.
Independent research.

Degree of work:
50% position (2.5 days a week)

Requirements:
M.A. or Ph.D. degree in East Asian art history or related subjects

Languages: the candidate is expected to have a good knowledge of German,
fluency in English, and superior abilities (both written and spoken) in one
East Asian language (Korean, Chinese or Japanese).

Computer: very good computer abilities expected

We offer:
A three-year position that may be extended for three one-year periods. The
maximum length is six years. Terms of the employment, wages, and vacation
regulations according to the employment rules of Zurich Kanton.

Start of employment:
Sept 1, 2010, or according to negotiation
