The Faculty of Arts of the University of Zurich

Professor of Medieval Art History

The future holder of the position must be able to teach all aspects of art
history of the Middle Ages. It is expected that he/she will develop new
themes in research and teaching that will provide innovative initiatives
for the field of art history thus fostering collaboration with other
members of the Institute of Art History, as well as with national and
international institutions. Applicants should have demonstrated excellence
in research, scholarship and teaching as documented by a habilitation or
a comparable certificate and by a substantial number of outstanding

An der Philosophischen Fakultät der Universität Zürich
ist zum frühestmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine

Professur für Kunstgeschichte des Mittelalters

zu besetzen. Der Lehrstuhl gehört zum mediävistischen Schwerpunkt am
Kunsthistorischen Institut und an der Philosophischen Fakultät. Die/der
zukünftige Stelleninhaberin/Stelleninhaber soll die Kunstgeschichte des
Mittelalters in der ganzen Breite vertreten. Es wird erwartet, dass
Schwerpunkte in Forschung und Lehre gebildet werden, die innovative
Impulse für das gesamte Fach Kunstgeschichte geben und so die
Zusammenarbeit mit den anderen Professuren am Kunsthistorischen Institut,
mit benachbarten Fächern sowie mit nationalen und internationalen
Institutionen fördern. Voraussetzung für die Bewerbung ist die
Habilitation oder ein gleichwertiger Leistungsausweis. Die Fakultät
strebt eine Erhöhung des Anteils an Frauen in Lehre und Forschung an und
fordert deshalb insbesondere qualifizierte Frauen zur Bewerbung auf.
