Israeli would like to announce the call for papers for
THE FIRST CONGRESS OF JEWISH ART IN POLAND:
Jewish Artists and Central-Eastern Europe.
Art Centres - Identity- Heritage, 19th Century until WWII.
27-29 OCTOBER 2008, KAZIMIERZ ON VISTULA RIVER
The main aim of the congress is to present a wide range of academic approaches
towards Jewish art in Central-Eastern Europe from the Haskallah until
WWII.We are expecting a variety of perspectives that can eventually
create a cohesive image of the Jewish contribution to modern art and
artistic culture according to different historical, social and cultural
circumstances in which Jewish artists were active.
The language of the congress is English.
The deadline for submission of the registration form submission is
