USC Mellon Post-Doc in Visual History

The USC Visual Studies Research Lab and the USC Shoah Foundation
Institute for Visual History are pleased to announce a two-year
post-doctoral fellowship for a recent PhD whose research and writing is
related to “Visual History.” Candidates should possess an expertise in
photography and/or film. Preference will be given to applicants who
express an interest in using the Shoah Foundation Archive in their
teaching or research. The position includes teaching one course a
semester, one in History and the other in Art History. Applicants may hold
PhDs in History, Art History or Film Studies or any other relevant fields.
The PhD should have been awarded within the last five years. Applicants
should send a letter of application, CV, two letters of recommendation,
and a syllabus for any specialized course relating to some aspect of
“Visual History.”

ART AND ARCHITECTURAL HISTORY

National University of Singapore - Asia Research Institute, 3-Month
Visiting (Senior) Research Fellow (Singapore)

3-MONTH VISITING (SENIOR) RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

Applications are invited for a 3-month Visiting (Senior) Fellowships at
the Asia Research Institute (ARI), National University of Singapore to
commence on 1 October 2007, 2 January 2008 and 1 April 2008. The positions
are intended for outstanding active researchers on Asian topics, with a
balance anticipated between senior and junior, the Asian region and the
world. At least one published outcome is expected, and applicants who do
not normally publish in English will be encouraged and assisted to do so.
Interdisciplinary interests are encouraged. “Asia” as a research field is
defined loosely in terms of the region in which Singapore is positioned.

ARI has six research clusters and applicants should mention which category
they are applying in, and which term.

VISITING (SENIOR) RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS (UNDER ARI SABBATICAL LEAVE SCHEME)

Applications are invited for Visiting (Senior) Fellowships (under ARI
Sabbatical Leave Scheme) at the Asia Research Institute (ARI), National
University of Singapore to commence on 1 October 2007, 2 January 2008 and
1 April 2008. The positions are intended for researchers who would like to
devote the sabbatical term from their home institutions in conducting work
in ARI, NUS

ARI has six research clusters and applicants should mention which category
they are applying in, and which term.
