CONFERENCE
THE ARCHITECTURE OF ARCHAEOLOGY
AND THE ARCHAEOLOGY OF ARCHITECTURE
ROME, ITALY
The objective of this conference is to provide a forum for a dialogue on
architecture and archaeology, and the numerous ways in which the two
fields intersect. Of interest are archaeological sites with significant
architectural artifacts, as well as, the collaborative work between
architects, archaeologists, urbanists, historians, and museologists in the
preservation, restoration, and reconstruction of these sites.
The conference takes place in Rome, Italy from September 15 th to
September 17 th , 2005 at the British School at Rome and the Facolta Di
Architettura, "Valle Giulia,"Universita Degli Studi Di Roma, "La Sapienza."
