We seek to appoint a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate (up to end
July 2008 initially) for the AHRC-funded project: 'John Ruskin, Cultural
Travel and Popular Access'. Your 'home' discipline is likely to be in
nineteenth-century history, art history or English Literature, and you
will already have demonstrated sound knowledge of interdisciplinary and
humanities research methodologies. You will be directed from Lancaster,
engaging in archival and historical research, although support will be
allocated to the project's activities at Salford University and the
University of Central Lancashire. Ability to join a collaborative team,
involving conference organisation and preparing materials for publication
will be essential.
The post will provide opportunities for a researcher to pursue his/her own
research within the parameters of the project.
