Index of Christian Art

Two Cataloguers-readers required. Three year positions to
iconographically catalogue the manuscript collection in Firestone
Library, Princeton University. Manuscript experience required
(13th-16th centuries) and ability to work with computers. Ph. D.
preferred but not essential. Strong editorial skills needed.

Firestone Library

Curatorial Assistant. Two-year position to be supervised by Curator of
Manuscripts, Princeton University Library. Responsibilities include textual,
physical, and bibliographic description of Western medieval and Renaissance
manuscripts; editing descriptions for accuracy and consistency; coordination of
photography involving illuminated manuscripts. Candidates must have a
graduate-level background in medieval studies, research experience with Western
manuscripts and paleography, and a reading knowledge of Latin and at least one
Romance or Germanic language. Preferred qualifications include Ph.D. in
medieval studies and experience in paleography and codicology.

Rank and salary commensurate with experience.
