The Department of Art History at The Pennsylvania State University seeks to appoint a one-year fixed-term assistant professor with a specialization in Early Modern Art History. The appointment will begin on August 1, 2019.

We are particularly interested in candidates whose research and teaching
involve global or comparative methodologies. The department values dynamic teachers who are prepared to lead upper level undergraduate and graduate courses in their field, as well as teach introductory surveys compatible with their specialization. Anticipated teaching load will be 3 courses per semester. Preference will be given to candidates who have a Ph.D. in art history or a related discipline.
