Ein Meter über dem Boden - Klima und Territorium aus der Perspektive der République Géniale
im Rahmen der République Géniale 17. August – 11. November 2018

One Meter Above Ground - Climate and Territory Viewed from the Perspective of the République Géniale
Kunstmuseum Bern, August 23-25, 2018, during République Géniale, August 17 – November 11, 2018
The symposium brings together scientists, architects and artists who deal with questions of climate and the economic and political organization of territories. Robert Filliou, who created the République Géniale, and his generation insisted upon recognizing the organization of space not just as an aesthetic task but as part of a social practice that takes place in a rapidly changing environment. Since then, the necessity of understanding architecture as an active player in society and ecology has only intensified. The symposium provides a platform for discussing new insights and presenting these to the public.
