Utah State University, Caine College of the Arts seeks a Temporary Assistant Professor in Art History to teach a 3/3 load. This is a 9- month temporary appointment for the 2018-19 academic year, beginning August 13, 2018. The ideal candidate will have a doctorate in Art History and experience in teaching at the university level. Salary is commensurate with experience. A generous benefits package is offered.

The candidate will teach six sections of Art History; three in the fall and three in the spring. She/he will be expected to also mentor and work with undergraduate students.

The Department of Art + Design is comprised of 20 full-time faculty plus adjuncts, 7 support and technical staff, 16 graduate students, and 436 undergraduates. The department offers BFA degrees in Ceramics, Graphic Design, Art Education, Printmaking, Photography, Painting & Drawing, Sculpture, a BID in Interior Design, BA in Art and Art History, as well as a BS in Art; and MFA degrees as well. The BFA mission is to prepare students for graduate school or professional careers as artists and designers.

Founded in 2010, the Caine College of the Arts is comprised of around 70 full-time faculty plus adjuncts, 25 graduate students, and 800 undergraduates. The college offers graduate degrees in 12 emphasis areas and the bachelors in 34 different emphasis areas. Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: PhD or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Ability to teach a class in Art History
Demonstrated commitment to mentoring of students.
University teaching experience.
