One year research postdoc position is available as part of the “Is Architecture Art?” project at the ATCH Research Centre, School of Architecture, The University of Queensland.

School of Architecture

The role
The successful appointee will be responsible for collaborative and individual research within the aims of the ARC Discovery Project “Is Architecture Art? a history of categories concepts and recent practices. For more information on this project please visit https://isarchitectureart.com/

The successful appointee will have access to shared office space and other facilities of the ATCH Research Centre and the School of Architecture.

There are opportunities to work with senior and early career researchers and higher degree research students in an intellectually stimulating environment.

The person
Applicants should be within five (5) years of completing a PhD with a research background in the history and theory of architecture or the visual arts; or, cultural policy/cultural economy.

You should have demonstrated expert knowledge in some aspect of the interdisciplinary relations of art and architecture, or relevant aspects of cultural policy and administration.
You should have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, but also independently
Excellence in written communication will be highly regarded.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated including the possibility of a job share where two (2) incumbents would work part-time hours to cover the position equally.

Remuneration
This is a full-time, fixed term for One (1) year at Academic level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $64,533 - $87,535 p.a, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $75,504 - $102,416 p.a.)
